Fee Structure of Doctor of Medicine (MD)
Doctor of medicine is a very popular course all over the country. Very few colleges offer this course, and thus the seats are limited. However, the aspiring candidates are huge for this course. That is the reason why the competition is so tough for this course. Yet the aspiring candidates give in their cent percent effort to get hold of a seat in the colleges that offers this course. The list of colleges that offers this course has plenty of government as well as private colleges in it. In general the fee of this course is less in government hospitals as compared to the private institutes.
The fee structure of this course defers on the basis of the college from which the course is being done. Generally on an average the fees lie in between 1.1 lakh per annum. This is the stipulated fees by the medical council of India. However, private institutions charges as high as 6 lakh for this course. So the fee structure of this course is quite variant and depends greatly on the college from which the course is being done from.
Few renowned and popular colleges, both government and private, offers this course. The names include AIIMS, KMC, VIT, DU, and many more. All these colleges are renowned colleges that offer this course. Students from all over the country strive for these colleges.
Relaxation in fees and special concession to the students belonging to schedule cast and lower caste is not seen in any of the above mentioned colleges. However, the college does admit students on quota basis. This comprises of reservations for backward and lower caste students as well as the domicile candidates. Poor students can avail relaxation only if they do extremely well in their academics. The decision of concession is on the management and authority of the institute.
