Textile Engineering is also known as Textile Technology. It is one of the most interesting branch of engineering. In this branch of engineering various aspects of engineering and scientific methodologies are studied. These principles are mainly implemented in the production and processing of various types of yarns and fabrics from textile fibers. The study includes deeper study principles used in processing these fibers, along with the chemical properties.

There is a huge crowd of student who want to be indulged in various Textile Engineering Colleges. This is due to the popularity of this branch that many students seek for opportunities of getting involved in this branch of engineering. There is a huge demand for such engineers in the Textile Industry. Along with this attractive amount of salary also attract towards this. Many of the students choose this course for future prospects only. The amount of fees is comparatively very low in govt. colleges as compared to the fees of private undertakings.

The fee of Textile Engineering varies from college to college. This is as low as Rs. 6000 in govt. funded institute whereas it is as much as high Rs. 60000 in private and self financing institute. There are many colleges providing this course, some of the names are as IIT Delhi, Govt. Central Textile Institute, Calcutta University college of Technology. The amount o fee is Rs. 6000 in Govt. Central Textile Institute, and it is Rs. 27000 for the same in IIT Delhi. But it is about Rs. 60000 in some private colleges.

There is privilege of relaxation o fees for the students belonging from the lower caste and SC and ST in some colleges like IIT Delhi, Govt. Central Textile Institute. However, there is reservation in seats at the time of admission in many institutes, including some private institutes and some deemed universities.
