I am studying diploma in mechanical engg in nandyal. Can i do b.tech in other states by joining directly in 2nd year

Coming to your query, yes you can definitely do engineering in other by joining directly in the 2nd year of engineering through lateral entry scheme. However, you cannot go for the colleges that comes under the Board of Technical Education in other states. This is because each state conducts LEET exam for the diploma candidates to seek admission in the engineering colleges of the concerned state. Since you are from other state, so you cannot appear for this state and hence cannot take admission in the colleges who take admission through the LEET score of the concerned state.

You can take admission in the private universities or deemed or autonomous universities of other states who conduct their own lateral entry entrance test for admission of diploma candidates directly in the second year of engineering through lateral entry scheme.
