Can I get admission in Regular B.Tech course after completion of Diploma in Mechanical Engineering as I am doing from Deemed University?

* yes ! of course there is a chance for everyone to do btech in any college which supports lateral entry .
* only in IIT's and NIT's diploma. students are not eligible to do btech .
* For lateral entry , entrance test will be there or some colleges allows through donation .
* But government colleges will not allow the students without conducting entrance exam .

You are final year of diploma course in Mechanical Engineering so you are eligible for B.Tech course but you should qualify in Lateral Entry exam.

Eligibility criteria for Lateral entry exam:-

(i)Passed diploma course in Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy with above 60% marks.

(ii)Passed Degree in Science (B.Sc.) with Mathematics as a subject with above 60% marks.

(iii)Your age should above 18 years.

Yes, you get admission to study regular B.Tech course after completion of your three years Diploma course from Deemed University. But, to get admission in B.Tech course after completion of your three years Diploma course, you need to appear in Lateral Entry examinations like LEET, ECET, JELET which is conducted by your respective state entrance examinations board. By qualifying the entrance examination, based upon your examination rank, you will be allotted a seat in a particular college and you can get admission in second year of four years B.Tech course.

Yes, you can very much get admission in B.Tech course being a Diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering from Deemed University.

For that you will have to appear for examinations like LEET, JELET, etc. which is the entrance examination for admission in B.Tech course after completion of Diploma.
