I have done certificate course in Electrical Engineering. Can I do Diploma course in Electrical Engineering? Kindly tell me about this immediately.

For diploma in electrical engineering the minimum qualification required is class 10th pass. If you have this much qualification then surely you will be eligible for polytechnic entrance exam.

Admission will be on the basis of performance in the written exam which will decide the rank. Seats will be allotted on the basis of rank through counselling.

No, it is not possible to study the Diploma in Electrical Engineering on certificate course basis. The eligibility to study the course is a pass in 10th standard with Mathematics and Science as one of the subjects. The duration of the course is 3 years. There will be an entrance examination for the admission to the course in some states. The course is available in many polytechnic colleges in India.

To be eligible to study Diploma Electrical Engineering course, you must have passed SSC or equivalent examination from a recognised board. You can get admission in Diploma course on the basis of 10th standard. Candidates who have studied ITI course are also eligible to do Diploma course from second year directly.
