You have completed diploma in electrical engineering so you are eligible to get admission in B.Tech for electrical and communication engineering.

But you should qualify in LEET exam.

Those candidates who have completed diploma course with above 60% marks from a recognized university are eligible for LEET exam.

Your age should be below 28 years.

After completion of Diploma in Electrical Engineering, you need to opt the same branch in your engineering course i.e., if you have completed Diploma in Electrical Engineering, then, you must have to opt same Electrical Engineering branch in your B.Tech course. To get admission in B.Tech course, you need to appear in LEET examination. By qualifying LEET examination, you can get direct admission in B.Tech second year. So, you can pursue your B.Tech course only in Electrical Engineering after completion of Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Yes you can apply for admission in a B.Tech course if you are a Diploma in Electrical Engineering holder. All you need to do is just apply for the polytechnic entrance exam and get a decent rank in it.

There are various polytechnic entrance exams conducted on state level like JEXPO, JEECUP etc. As a Diploma holder you will be eligible for lateral entry admission into 2nd year of the B.Tech degree.

Just make sure that your age is below 21 years as polytechnic entrance exam has this upper age limit. There is age relaxation available for candidates who belong to reserved category.
