Diploma Entrance Test(DET) I want full detailed information about this tes in a very descriptive manner.

Diploma Entrance Test (DET) devised the concept of holding a common entrance test for all the Professional diploma courses offered in the Government and Private Engineering Schools and Polytechnics of the State.

Eligibility criteria:

1st Semester Engineering :
Candidates must have passed in HSC examinations/10th standard examination and obtained at least 35% marks in aggregate, securing 30% marks in each subject at the qualifying examination with Math, Science and English.

3rd Semester Lateral Entry :
Candidates must have passed in +2 Science Examination or its equivalent examination with PCM/+2 Vocational (2 years course) in any engineering trades/2 years ITI in engineering Trade with pass in HSC examinations/10th standard examination and securing 30% marks in each subject.

Age Limit : Minimum 16 years as on 1st July.

Procedure to apply:

• You should download the Information Brochure and read carefully before filling online application form.
• You can apply online for DET.
• You can make payment through ATM-cum-Debit Card / Credit Card / Net Banking / e-Challan at any Branch of Axis Bank / IDBI Bank.
• The payment of fees have to be paid on or before last date. Payments received after the last date and time will not be considered.
• After submitting application form, application number will be displayed.

The notification for this exam will be in the March month and the exam will be in the month of May month.
