For appearing in CPT you need to have 10+2 or equivalent qualification. You have got Diploma in Engineering qualification and you can surely appear for CPT. There is no problem for you have the qualification to appear for this exam. Therefore, start your preparation as soon as possible.

CPT is Common Proficiency Test which is the first step towards becoming a Chartered Accountant. You have to clear this exam to get admission in CA IPCC. You have to get minimum 50% marks in CPT to qualify it.

No, you are not eligible for CPT exam after completing 3 years Diploma course. The candidates should have done 12th standard or equivalent qualification from a recognized board to be eligible for CPT exam.

Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is an entry level exam for the Chartered Accountancy Course.

CPT ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

-> Candidates must have passed Intermediate or 10+2 examination in any discipline from a recognized Board or University.
-> Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% of SC/ST) in their concerned subjects.
-> Final year candidates are also eligible.
