How can I get admission to study B.Tech if secured 54.38% in Electrical Engineering Diploma course?


Hello,
I have got 54.38% in my Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Can I get admission for second year of B.Tech course? If yes, then how can I get admission?

You have got 54.38% marks in in diploma in Electrical Engineering so you are eligible for B.Tech course through Lateral Entry exam.

Eligibility criteria for Lateral entry exam:-

(i)Passed diploma course in Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy with above 60% marks.

(ii)Passed Degree in Science (B.Sc.) with Mathematics as a subject with above 60% marks.

(iii)Your age should above 18 years.

Yes, you can get admission through lateral entry exam. You will be eligible for admission in second year of the B.Tech course through entrance exam which is conducted mostly on state level by various state technical directorate.

Most of the entrance exam ask for 60% marks in diploma. For reserved category candidates there is relaxation of 5% marks. Hence, apply according to the eligibility criteria.

Yes, you can get admission for direct second year of B.Tech.
You get admission through dte of state. Just follow the procedure offer by dte & join B.Tech as direct 2nd year student.
