dear Sir/Mam, I am naveen kumar yadav, 9386578548, [email protected], student of Diploma Mechanical to karnataka state open university in session, some local newspaper proved that technical degree(Diploma,B.Tech) from ksou in distance mode is invalid.Please tell me,is ksou approved by distance education council for diploma mechanical engineering in distance mode?

No, diploma and B.Tech degree in valid because this degree in approved by UGC.

Karnataka State Open University was formally established on June 1, 1996 under the Karnataka State Open University Act of 1992.

Karnataka State Open University is approved by UGC. Karnataka state open university( KSOU) is not approved by AICTE (All India council of technical education). Karnataka State Open University is approved by DEC.

I have attached the UGC approval letter of KSOU so please check it out.

AICTE doesn't approve any distance mode engineering diploma course. Hence, KSOU is not recognized for conducting any diploma in engineering course because it is a pure open university which doesn't conduct any regular classes.

If you want to do diploma in mechanical engineering then you must get admission in an AICTE approved college only which requires you to attend regular classes.

Sir i have passed my three years diploma in civil engineering from JRN RAJASTHAN VIDYAPEETH ,UDAIPUR which is awarded Dt 10.07.2018. I want to know that is the diploma is valid or not
