Possibility to study B.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering for Mechanical Engineering Diploma student?


Sir/Mam,
I am doing Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. I want to study Aeronautical Engineering in B.Tech. Can you please tell me that is this possible for me to study AE in B.Tech?

Yes, you are eligible to study B.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering course after completion of your three years Diploma course in Mechanical Engineering. Candidates who have completed three years Diploma course in Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering from a recognised board are eligible to pursue B.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering. You need to appear in Lateral Entry examinations like LEET, ECET, JELET examinations for getting admission in second year of four years Engineering course.

After completion of diploma in Mechanical Engineering, you are not eligible to get admission to B.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering.

Those candidates who have completed diploma course in Aeronautical Engineering from a recognized university are eligible for B.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering through Lateral Entry exam.

Your age should be above 17 years.
