Hi friends, I want to apply an education loan in Oriental Bank of Commerce. I want to study Diploma in Engineering course by taking an education loan. Can I know that if I want to take an education loan against my family property then I am eligible to do that? Kindly let me know immediately.

For education loan, you need a guarantor first and if the collateral is required then banks will consider your property surely. Just make sure you don't have agricultural land because banks don't consider it as collateral.

If your property is residential or commercial, then surely there shouldn't be any problem. The only problem will be the guarantor which is compulsory and he/she should be earning regularly.
