i got 132/240 and rank 3117... i'm lukn fwd for eee, ec, cs..... whats the scene......?what shud i expect...

Now that you have your rank as 6200.. I believe getting Mechanical engineering will be a little tough for you because Mechanical is the course which is most sought after by aspirants after CS and Electrical.

By electrical,what do u mean actually sir?is it both ece and eee?

By electrical i meant to say EEE(electrical engineering) ONLY and not ece(electrical and communication) engineering.

This is so because the cut off for ece is much higher than the cut off for eee since communication is a field which has shown tremendous growth in the previous decade and is expected to grow further and thus give better career options to the aspirants pursuing it.

Hi friend

Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works like roads, bridges, canals, dams, and buildings.

Fortunately for you, the cut off for pursuing civil engineering is usually low, which means that it will be easier for you to get a seat in civil than few other streams such as computer science, electronics which are in demand and require high(good) ranks to get a seat.

The cut off for civil can extend upto 6000 rank this year and i believe you are in a safe position as your rank is less than 5000. You can also get courses such as:

1. Mechanical engineering
2. Chemical engineering
3. Printing technology
4. I&P engineering

For all those who have obtained marks in the range of 100-110 are right on the borderline of making the cut in the merit list for admission.
