i have choosen right option or not, right now iam studying electronics and communication engineering is it better for me in future or i have to change my field to computer engineering ?
computer engineering is best or electronics and communication engineering is best in which both of the field salary is best in future

can i apply for companies like schlumberger , facebook and google with ece branch?

Electronics and communication is a vibrant field for job seekers. An ECE engineer can apply for both government as well as private sectors.

Govt. Sector : government organisations like BHEL , BEL, BSNL , ONGC and other PSU recruits electronics and communication engineers as junior telecom officer(for communication) , as an techncal engineer or survey and maitenance engineer. For example, now a days BSNL are recruiting ECE engineers for JTO post.
Salaries in govt. sector is minimum 25K to 32K per month.

Private Sector: Many telecommunication companies: Nokia siemans or Sony ericsson recruits two times in a year.
salary for this is almost INR 3.5 lakhs.
Electronics core company like National semiconductors recruits at very high pay package of 7 Lakhs.

Electronics and telecommunication is considered as the one of the hottest branches these days.

There is lots of scope in ECE as lots of companies like Bharat Electronics Limited ,Electronics Corporation of India Limited ,Semiconductor Complex Limited (SCL) etc..

and salaries range from 5 to 7 Lakhs per annum depending on the college which you passwed out...

You have completed B-TECH degree from Electronics and communication.So the better option for you to go for higher study like-

1)M-TECH

2)MBA

3)MS

4)JRF/SRF

5)PHD

But you must have a valid GATE ,CAT ,MAT ,XAT etc score.

You are also applicable for govt sector also-

1)UPSC- UPSC conduct so many exam like IAS ,IPS ,IES ,IFS ,SCRA ,CDS .All exams educational qualification is graduation where you can applicable.

2)BSNL - BSNL conduct so many exams like BSNL JTO , BSNL TTA , MTNL etc.

4)Indian Electricity Board

Electronics and Communication is an evergreen subject in the coming world. It is the combination of both Software and Hardware applications. There is better scope in ECE because everything in this generation is technical. Today's gadgets, all electronic appliances like TV's, microwaves, refrigerators, etc.... Mostly, there are government companies like ECIL, BHEL, BDL, BEL, DRDO, DRDL, NFC, etc.... In these, we get good salary packages around 5 lakh per annum and there are also a number of private companies which are looking for a ECE stream and there is much more demand in this field.
