hey, GATE scholarship will be given to the students of BITS, Pilani or not?
if given, when will it be given? after how many days will it be given?

GATE scholarship amount totally depend on the marks scored by you.
from this year if your score is under the selection of IIT's college then you will get 14000/- per month.

but if your score are under the selection of NIIT's college then you will get 8000/-per month.

sir, plz tell me wot is "Valid Gate score" means????is it to cross cutoff marks or having a certain %ile...(i heard that it is 90%ile)?????
Actually I have secured 25.67 marks this year (Gate2011)i.e. 87%ile.....

mHRD scholarship depends colleges in which you are studying. It varies from 5000 to 8000

If you are IITians you will get full scholarship

gate qualified scholarship varied from 5000 to 10,000.depends upon institute where u had applied.........

hii, for getting stipends you have to get necessary marks then only you will get the stipends.

previously gate scholarship is 8000 rs per month.now its 10000 per month and you will get them on monthly basis only in top institutes.other institutes will give you on yearly basis.

can i get both ntse and gate scholarship in my mtech.

Its depent on the colleg and the criteria just like NIIT and IIT has difference as simple as there is difference in branch wise also but it s 11000 or 12000 ok

if i want to leave the college (nit tirchy) from which i did mtech from 2010 and take scholarship, and want to join iit again in 2011 for mtech with new gate score card ,then they will give me scholarship from iit or not.

Dear Mr Rudraprasad, Gate qualified candidate have same value everywhere in India. At present MHRD is giving Rs.8000 per month irrespective of the college. In fact I am a second year m.tech student in NITC. I am hearing the rumor that stipend is going to increses from the first day of admission, but now also we are getting only 8000. Until it is officially declared in the MHRD website we can't expect any increaes.

One more thing, you have another option of getting money through MHRD sponsered project. I think they will give a maximum of Rs.10000 per year for each student towards project expense provided you submitted the bill for the same amount.

Hi dear,

from this year the GATE stipend become Rs.8000/- to Rs.14000/- per month.

it's vary according to your institution and your project. but you will get atleast Rs.8000/-

you may get more than Rs.14000/- if your project is very costly and your project guide helps you to get the scholarship.

by d way m.tech. stipend is granted by mhrd and not institutes.... so don't confuse others.

I'm Aathira. I've completed my MTech in July'11. I got admn. to MTech thru GATE score in 2009 and I received the GATE Scholarship , Rs.96000 forthe year 09-10. But till date I've not received the scholarship for 2010-11.The college authorities are saying that they have not received the amount from MHRD/AICTE hence they could not disburse it. So pl. advise me , whom should I approach , MHRD or AICTE . If so pl. give the addres of the concerned authorities.

MHRD Scholarship amount for M.Tech Stipend based on GATE score is fully depends on the interview of the candidate.

the amount is varied from 8000/- to 14000/- p.m.

minimum a candidate will get 8000/-p.m.

It is the responsibility of the admitting institution to award MHRD scholarship...The gate performance of the candidate will be considered for admission...if the candidate is to be selected through interview for post graduate programmes,minimum 70 % weightage is given to gate performance and remaining weightage is given based on the interview..
minimum every gate qualified student shall get 8000/-per month
