GATE ( Graduate Aptitude Test In Engineering ) is the common entrance exam conducted All India wide for the entrance into P.G ( M.Tech ) program in India's top colleges.
It is considered as one of the toughest examination in India as many young aspirants go for the written exam.

GATE qualification is the minimum requirement for awarding various fellowships by different government organizations. So dude in my view getting a rank in GATE is easy which requires preparation and skill for solving questions.

Pre final year year students are not eligible for GATE examination , but if you want to crack GATE examination a scheduled preparation is necessary from 3rd year Onwards.

Here i am giving you some important steps , follow it and prepare well.

1. you must have interest at first before start your preparation and you must have dedication in preparation , you must leave all other duties and concentrate on you studies once the preparation is started.

2. Firstly you prepare your daily time table with all subjects covering as least possible as you can , no need to study the whole chapter in a day. set the time for each subject for eg 2hrs per subject and stick to it till the completion of your syllabus of every subject.

3. Daily before start reading the new topic revise the previous topic once that you have read before , if you go on like this at the last day of your preparation you will be having grip from the first chapter in each subject.

4. solve as many question papers as you can this will improve your grasping ability and also decreases your time in solving the questions which is an important criteria to crack GATE ,
as GATE exam is mainly based on time management.

5. Do your revision as many times as possible till the exam date for GATE because GATE rank comes to those who had done hard work but not for the Intelligent person. Even if you are good at your subject you cannot get a GATE rank without hard work as GATE mainly test your applying skills.

6. dude you need not study each and every topic into great depth , GATE do not want weather you have read subject completely or not rather they ask questions from merely basics that are in each and every chapter. They want to test weather you are good at your basics or not and weather you are in a position to apply your basic knowledge.

Finally dude i suggest that getting GATE rank is easy which requires hard work try to solve as many previous papers as you can so that you will be getting an idea how the pattern of questions are coming and hoe they are asking on which topic they are stressing.
