There will not be considerable difference in between B.Tech and B.E

The difference lies in the courses taken to receive these degrees
B.Tech stands for Bachelor of Technology
B.E stands for Bachelor of Engineering

In general,
B.E degree is offered by OU (Osmania university)
B.Tech degree is offered by JNTU (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University).

B.Tech is more of practical based program and B.E emphasizes on theoretical details.

In India, no one really cares whether you are B.Tech or B.E and even in selection for jobs also, there will no be much difference and will be considered equally.

What is the main difference between a BTech. and a BE?

There is no difference between these degrees(B.E or B.Tech) in terms of value and scope. BE and B.Tech have similar scope and future. Both covers the same course and subjects. The only difference is that B.E is more theoretical and B.Tech stresses more on Practicals and Labs.

In India Engineering graduation course treated as two ways

-B-TECH (bachelor of technology)
-B.E (bachelor of engineering)

In north India colleges treat graduation engineering has B.E.

In south India colleges treat same course as B-TECH.

As both will have similar ranking.

finally i conclude that both are same.................no difference at all

hi

main difference between a BTech. and a BE
Difference between engineering and engineering technology is as shown below;
Engineering includes RESEARCH, COMPLEX ANALYSIS,COMPLEX DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT,MANUFACTURING, AND TEST AND EVALUATION. It is more theoretical.Where as Engineering Technology includes Test and EVALUATION, ROUTINE DESIGNS,PRODUCTION,CONSTRUCTION,OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE, SALES AND DISTRIBUTION. IT IS MORE TANGIBLE.
The difference lies in the courses taken to receive these degrees
B.Tech stands for Bachelor of Technology
B.E stands for Bachelor of Engineering
In general,
B.E degree is offered by OU (Osmania university)
B.Tech degree is offered by JNTU (Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University).
B.Tech is more of practical based program and B.E emphasizes on theoretical details.

good luck

Hello Friend,

What is the main difference between a B.Tech. and a B.E. are as follows: -

B.Tech. OR B.E. both courses are same, only course name is different.

1. B.Tech. means Bachelor of Technology and B.E. means Bachelor of Engineering

2. Both B.Tech. and B.E. are equivalent courses

3. Course Duration for both B.Tech. and B.E. = 04 Years

4. After completing B.Tech. OR B.E. you are called Engineer

5. After completing B.Tech. OR B.E., you can get a better job & handsome salary.

Best of Luck

B.TECH -STAND FOR BACHELOR OF TECHNOLOGY.
B.E - STAND FOR BACHELOR OF ENGINEERING .

both b.tech/ b.e are equalent in terms of job opportunity.

only difference is that in b.tech student have to take industrial training before passing
but in b.e you don't have to do any kind of industrial training .

-as far as syllabus is concern it is same for both.

-but now more colleges are providing the b.tech degree.

Hey friends, confused ? let me explain, there is not very big difference between B.E & B.Tech. B.E stands for Batchler of engineering . And B.Tech is stands for Batchler of technology. B.E is theorical based & B.Tech is practical based. And practical & theory both are necessary to be an engineer.

Thanks.

hi friends...
basically there is no difference in B.Tech. and B.E. at all....
B.Tech. is based on practical program while B.E. concentrate on theoretical details...
both are engineers....even I am B.Tech. graduate and my friend is B.E. graduate and we both got same salary package after graduation ... so in short job profile is also same....

There is no much difference between B.tech and B.E.

OMG, i am so confused reading so diiferent answers. As far as i conclude finally , Be is a degree completed after 10 2 for 4 years, and after 3 year diploma or after bachelors for 3 years. Whereas btech is bachelor of tevhnology and made only after passing 12th

Dear Aspirant,

There are many similarities than the differences so they are only differed in the naming.

With some small changes and rest all are same.

BE- Bachelor of Engineering
BTech- Bachelor of Technology

So only the naming is differed. The course duration and the semesters all are same. They both are for 4 years.

Only difference can be seen in the labs and the theory of the study. The education is same but learned in a different way.

Btech students are more used to labs and the BE students are more used to the theory rather than the practicals.

If Compared btech and Be are almost same. There will be no discrimination when the recruitment takes place. Both will be called for the same post if vaccany are present.

So both are same in terms of education,Except the name.

Hope this info helps you.

All the best for your future endeavor's.

Any more Queries.
Don't Hesitate to ask me. Am happy to help you always. Just ping to my profile.

Best Regards,
Sampath.
