Recently various PSUs like NTPC,BHEL,SAIL,GAIL etc has started to recruit candidates on the basis of GATE scorecard.

About IES exam:

In contrast to the GATE exam,IES is the Indian Engineering services which is conducted by the Union Public service commission.

For this exam you should have bachelor's degree in engineering or technology from a recognized university .

The age limit for the IES exam is 21-30 years and the age relaxations is three years to obc and five years to sc/st respectively.
