Actual duration of MBBS and of Ph.D?


what is the actual duration of mbbs and then of doing phd?...please tell me the duration of it

hi...the actual duration of doing an mbbs is five years and then you have to do an post graduate degree which is of two years duration in our country this is called the MD or MS .
after the completion of the post graduate degree thats either an MS or MD there is the third level of education in our country and that is called the DM(DOCTRATE IN MEDICINE )it requires an period of minimum of three years that includes practice also and you also have to give an written exam both in practicals and the theory paper to clear this examination and you can say that its an equivalent of an phd in other areas of field in the country .there is also an equivalent degree for the surgens wicj is called Mch(magister chirugia) this is almost the highest degree that an surgeon can get in our country and those having this degree are like the best in there area of field
