No. 27 Short Service Commission (27 SSC) Course Women: Flying Branch: No. 41 Short Service Commission (41 SSC) Course Technical Branch: No. 55 Short Service Commission (55 SSC) Ground Duty Branches: No. 43 Short Service Commission (43 SSC) Course Eligibility Criteria: Technical Branch: ~If you want to apply for both the post of Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) and Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) then you need to have a four year's duration B.E. or B.Tech degree from a recognized university. Otherwise from Associate Membership of Instituion of Engineers or Aeronautical Society of India you can also clear the sections A and B. ~Your age should be between 18 and 28 years of age. Flying Branch: ~For this branch you need to complete your bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university with not less than 60 percent of marks. You can also do bachelor's of engineering or technology but then also you have to secure the same percentage of marks. ~It is expected that you had physics and mathematics as one of your subjects at 10+2 level. ~Your age should vary between 19 and 23 years when giving this examination. Ground Duty Branches: ~Administration and Logistics: For this branch you need to complete your bachelor's degree in any disicpline from a recognized university. You have to secure minimum 60 percent of marks at graduation level (OR) You can also complete post graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. In that case the percentage to secure is 50 percent of marks. ~Accounts: For this branch you need to be a graduate in commerce with minimum 60 percent of marks or you can also do post graduation in M.Com/ICWAI/CA and secure 50 percent of marks. ~Education: For this branch you have to do post graduation in any discipline and secure minimum 50 percent of marks. The marks should be obtained by calculating the aggregate marks of all the papers put together. Selection Procedure: You have to sit for a written examination. On qualifying in the exam there are three stages or barriers which you need to clear in order to get selected. They are as follows:
~Final selection will be on the basis of the marks obtained in the written examination plus in the interview session. If the board suggests then you will be sent for the medical test. While making the final selection your medical certificates will also be given great importance. Scheme of Examination: You will get only two hours to complete the whole paper and in this whole time you will be asked to complete writing hundred questions. For every write answer you will get three marks. But be careful when choosing answers because for every negative answer there is a penalty of one marks too. Questions for the examination will come from the following sections:
