Syllabus for AFCAT

•-> Verbal Ability

•-> Logical Reasoning

•-> General Awareness

•-> Quantitative Aptitude

Duration of Exam - 2 hours

Scheme of Syllabus:

The AFCAT Question Paper will have 100 questions. All questions will be of three marks each. For every correct answer the candidate will get three marks and for every wrong answer one mark will be deducted under negative marking. The total time allotted for the paper is two hours.

Each Question Paper will have questions from the following topics:-

(a) General Awareness – History, Sports, Geography, Environment, Civics, Basic Science, Defence, Art, Culture, Current Affairs, Politics etc.

(b) Verbal Ability in English – Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion, Synonyms, Antonyms and Testing of Vocabulary.

(c) Numerical Ability – Decimal Fraction, Simplification, Average, Profit & loss, Percentage, Ratio & Proportion and Simple interest.

(d) Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test – Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability.

syllabus is totally like syllabus for apptitude test, it consist of general awareness, reasoning, verbal, mathematics, spatial ability n military apptitude test. for diz u shud refer R.Gupta book for AFCAT. n also R.S.Agarawal. solve question pprs r not their, u wil get model question ppr on site www.careerairforce.nic.in..

Does your requirement includes even 2012 paper? u won't get 5yr papers on net, at max u will get model papers. go through the page completely couple of model papers are available.

It is conducted by the government of India for the recruitment for the following Branches :
• Technical Branch
• Flying Branch
• Ground Duty Branches

>> Eligibility Criteria for AFCAT 2013 :

• Age Requirements :
The required age limit is 19 years to 23 years as on 1st January of the years the candidate is going to appear for the exam.
The upper age limit for Candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License is relaxed upto 25 years.

• Educational Qualifications :
AFCAT requires Graduates (minimum three years degree course) in any discipline from a recognized University who have attained atleast 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed Maths and Physics at 10+2 Level.
OR
BE (Bachelor of Engineering)/ B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) degree (four year course) from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.

All aspirants whose applications have been submitted by due date will be called for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) at one of the Examination centres.
