can i do mtech nanotechnology after btech petroleum engineering? Please tell me is it posible

Yes, it is possible for doing M.Tech, You write a GATE exam in Final year and

join the M.Tech degree Program in Top colleges/university.

Is there any institute in India which provides M.Tech degree in petroleum engineering without asking for a valid GATE score???
(after a b.tech degree in the same)
Because we can see that there is no subject paper in GATE in petroleum engineering..
