Nanotechnology can be considered to be the future of science and technology. Although this field of science has been introduced very recently, it has gained widespread popularity amongst all the scientists as well as scientific organizations today.  The main reason behind this is the many applications available in nanotechnology. Our country too has developed an interest towards this advanced field of science and has set up quite a number of research facilities as well as firms for nanotechnology alone. Educational pursuits in this field are not behind either.

Many Indian educational institutions offer courses in nanotechnology. Those include the Sardar Patel University, Amity Institute of Nano Technology - Noida, Periyar Maniammai University - Thanjavur, Shobhit University - Meerut, Uttar Pradesh and the prestigious Delhi University.
