I am jyoti gupta of 19 years old and going to complete my Bca this year. I want to know that is there any age limit for appearing in NIMCET 2016 exam?

NIMCET Exam is conducted for admission to MCA courses in NITs.

These NITs include:

• Agartala
• Allahabad
• Bhopal,
• Calicut,
• Durgapur,
• Jamshedpur,
• Kurukshetra,
• Raipur,
• Surathkal,
• Tiruchirappalli and
• Warangal,

There is no age limit for appearing in NIMCET Exam.

Eligibility Criteria

• You must have secured at least 60% marks in your Bachelor course.
• 5% relaxation is given to SC/ST Candidates.

Exam Pattern:

• Mathematics 50 questions
• Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning 40 questions
• Computer Awareness 10 questions
• General English 20 questions

NIMCET is the national level entrance test for admission of Master of Computer Application (MCA) course in select National Institute of Technology (NIT's).

Eligibility: Candidate having minimum 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale in B.Sc / BCA / BIT of a full time, 3 year course of BE/BTech or equivalent from a recognised university are eligible to apply.

Age Criteria: Candidate age must be above than 18 years.

NIMCET stands for National Institute of Technology MCA Common Entrance Test.

Those candidates who have completed graduation degree from the recognized university (B.E./B.Tech or BCA or its equivalent) are eligible for NICET 2016 exam.

There is no age criteria.

# NIMCET means NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET).

# However, there is no any prescribed upper age for NIMCET. You can apply for NIMCET subject to fulfilment of required eligibility conditions.

# Tentative dates regarding NIMCET 2016 are:

* Notification for NIMCET 2016: February 2016
* Deadline for submission of application form: April 2016
* Issuance of admit cards: May 2016
* Date of Examination: May 2016
* Declaration of result: June 2016

Scheme of Examination:

* The written examination is of objective type with multiple choice options.
* The duration of examination is of two hours.
* There will be total 120 questions in the written examination.
* Each question is carrying one mark.
* There is provision of negative marking. Each incorrect or wrong answer resulted into deduction of one mark out of total marks.
* The written examination is composed of followings sections mentioned below:

= General English
= Mathematics
= Computer Awareness
= Reasoning and Analytical Ability

# The weightage fixed for different sections of written test of NIMCET is mentioned below:

* General English (20 questions carrying 80 marks)
* Mathematics (50 questions carrying 200 marks)
* Computer Awareness (10 questions carrying 40 marks)
* Reasoning and Analytical Ability (40 questions carrying 160 marks)

# Required educational qualification:

* Candidate must be B.Sc./B.Sc. (Hons.)/IT/BCA/B.E./B. Tech. from any recognised university
* Candidate of general category must have obtained at least 60% marks in the graduation level.
* Candidate of reserved category must have obtained at least 55% marks in the graduation level.
* Candidate in the final year of degree level are also provisionally eligible.

There is no such age limit to appear for NIMCET 2016 exam. Only educational qualification is required for appearing in this examination that is a candidate should have completed or should be in a final year of BCA/B.SC/B.E or equivalent from recognized institution with 60% minimum (55% in case of SC/ST).

IMPORTANT DATES FOR NIMCET 2016 exam:

- Application form will be available from : January/February 2016

- Last date of form filling : April 2016

- Admit card will be available from : May 2016

- Exam Date : May 2016

- Result Date : June 2016

NIMCET includes following topics for the exam :

I) Mathematics

II) Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning

III) Computer Awareness

IV) General English

There is no such age requirement for NIMCET examinations.

Criteria of eligibility:-

Candidates must have completed their graduation with at least 60% aggregate.
