I am now working as a tutor in school of nursing under government of Odisha in a regular pay with qualification M.sc.nursing . I want to appear in OAS/IAS exam. my age is 32 yr. may I eligible? Can someone please provide me the information on this?

OAS stands for the Orissa Administrative Services. The entrance examination for this service is conducted Orissa Public Service Commission every year.

Eligibility criteria:

1. Academic Qualification:

>>Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Final year candidates of bachelor's degree can also apply for the exam.

2. Age criteria:

>>For general category candidates, the minimum age should be over 21 years and upper age limit should be under 32 years. For SC/ST, SEBC, women and Ex serviceman, upper age limit is relaxed upto 5 years.

So if you belong to SC/ST or SEBC or women category then you can appear for the OAS entrance exam otherwise not as your age is already 32 years.

There is a age relaxation for reserved candidates.

IAS stands for Indian administrative service which is held through UPSC ( Union Public Service Exam ) The above eligibility criteria also required to appear for this exam.

The eligibility criteria for the Orissa Administrative Services entrance exam:

You have completed M.Sc degree do you are eligible for OAS exam(Orissa Civil Services Examination).

I have appeared in the prelim of odisha civil services exam in the years 2011, 2015, 2016 under unreserved category. This time in the year 2017, I have applied under SEBC category. So what will be my no. Of attempts in total keeping in view the future.

Please clarify whether any alternate language is there in place of Odiya paper to qualify OAS exam or Odiya is compulsory ?

I am from sebc category.i appeared oas exam for 3 times.after 4th attempt next 3 attempt I compete with only sebc category or as usual with general and sebc
