Giving preference to Bank jobs are always best decision as it comes under government job with high job security and other benefits. For Bank jobs, aspirants have to apply for bank exams which are conducted by IBPS body in India.

There are four main banking job exams under IBPS they are
  • IBPS RRB CWE for Rural banks,
  • IBPS Clerk CWE for Clerical Cadre posts,
  • IBPS PO CWE for Probationary Officer posts and
  • IBPS SO CWE for Specialists officer.
In next lines, we will be discussing the eligibility criteria for these exams in accordance to which you will get answers to your query.

For RRB CWE exam, Applicants have to be in possession with a degree from an recognized body. In addition to this, knowledge of local language of the state is necessary and should have passed in that language in Metrics.

For Clerical Posts, applicants should have passed graduation in any specialization or degree. Must be in proficient in reading and writing of official language of the state for which you are applying.

For PO posts, applicants should have passed graduation in any discipline from recognized university or college.

For SO posts, it depends on posts to posts like if you will be applying for IT Officer you should have B.E or PG degree or Graduate with DOEACC B. Similarly for Agri. Field Officer you should have degree in Agriculture. So you are not eligible for SO posts as no post is related to BDS degree. But yes, you can apply for above three posts as they require only graduation in any discipline.

Note: - Note you should have proper computer knowledge as Computer knowledge will be one of the sections in the online exam conducted by IBPS.

Yes you are eligible to give bank exams, to give bank exams one should have a valid degree from recognized university. In addition to it, you should also satisfy the age criteria.

Being a dentist, doesn't lessen your chances to give bank exams, but you should be ready to answer, why you wanted to shift your interest towards banking, inspite of having a good degree in your hands, if you are asked during your interview, if you qualify the written exam.

To give both Clerk and PO, one must have degree and should not be less than 21 years and shouldn't be more than 30 years for general category candidates.

There is upper age relaxation for reserved category candidates as 3 years for OBC, 5 Years for SC/ST and 10 years for PWD Category.

Yes you are. Bank Exam tests set eligibility in two levels.

1. Twelfth Based ie, based on your matriculation results.

2.Based on the graduation.

Anyway you can apply for the first category.

About the second, sometimes the bank test reduce the eligibility criteria to graduations related to banking and finance like BCom etc. But otherwise specified any graduation can be made as an eligibility criteria.

Thank you.
