UPSC exams for doctors and dentists


is there any separate upsc exam for dentists or there is a combined exam for medical n dental fields . plz tell me the eligibility and syllabus for BDS pass out dentist for upsc exam

Yes there is exam for doctors.A candidate must have passed the written and practical parts of final MBBS examination.Most probably the notification published in the Employment Newspaer in the month of september.

Hello friend,
There is no seperate exam conducted for dentist by UPSC.
UPSC conducts Combined Medical Service Exam for candidates with an MBBS Degree.
The age limit for the same is 32 years.
Selected candidates are appointed only after they have completed compulsary rotating internship.

  • UPSC conducts exam for MBBS doctors not for dentists.
  • Exam conducted by UPSC for MBBS: UPSC Combined Medical Services Examination

Eligibility conditions for UPSC combined medical services Exam:

Age limits: Must not have attained the age of 32 years on 1st January, 2011.The upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC/PwD and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the notice

Educational qualification: A candidate must have passed the written and practical parts of final MBBS examination

yes exam are there in UPSC for medical service...combined medical service exam...

HI!
There is Combine Medical Exam conducted By U.P.S.C once in a year.

The candidate who pass M.B.B.S or doing Internship in any medical college in India is eligible for this exam.
I am sorry to say that B.D.S student are not eligible for Combine Medical Service Exam.

The age should be in between 21-32 year.

COMBINED MEDICAL SERVICES EXAM, 2012
Date of notification:- 03.03.2012
Last Date of submission of form:- 02.04.2012(MONDAY)
Date of Exam:- 17.06.2012(SUNDAY)

For MBBS doctors, U.P.S.C. conducts the examination known as Combined Medical Service Examination.
THIS EXAM IS NOT FOR DENTISTS.
After qualifying in this exam, you can get job in Ordinance Factories Health Service , Central Health Service firms as well as in railways sectors.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

Educational qualification:-

* Candidates must have completed Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from a recognized university.
* Candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in MBBS.

Age Limit:-

* Age limit is 21-32 years
* The age of the candidate must not be lesser than 21 years & must not be more than 32 years.

* Candidate must be physically fit to apply for the exam.

* Candidate must be Indian citizen.

EXAM PATTERN:-

The duration of this exam is 120 minutes.
The questions are multiple choice questions.
You have to appear in two papers.
Paper 1 consists of General Ability, General Medicine & Pediatrics.
Paper 2 consists of Surgery, Gynecology & obstetrics, Preventive & Social medicine paper.
The total number of questions are 120.
Total mark is 250 for each paper.
For each wrong answer 1/3 the marks of the question is deduced.
