Can i do MBA in finance or banking or market after completing graduation in BA pass course with subjects Education and Economics? Plz rly my question

heyy dear,
Any graduate in any field can apply for MBA in any field.. u just have to apply for entrance exams like CAT, CMAT. so jus go through this exams, crack them and get admission in MBA college u wish to through counseling process..

If you have completed B.A. in Economics, you are definitely eligible for pursuing MBA in Finance. There is belief in some people that to pursue MBA in Finance you need to do graduation course under commerce. This is absolutely wrong. You can go ahead with MBA in Finance with your BA in Economics degree.

What you need to do to apply in any MBA college for further studies is taking part in a entrance exam for Masters of Business Administration course. Unless you have the money to take direct admission through Management quota, which I must say would be very expensive, you should decide to appear in the following entrance exams:

Common Admisssion Test (CAT)

Management Aptitute Test (MAT)

Now you may ask, which one of the two I should opt for? The answer is pretty simple. You can opt for any one of them or both if you would like.

Common Admission Test also known as CAT is accepted by very few colleges in India but they are the best B Schools in the country. I am talking about IIMs - Indian Institute of Management.

To appear in CAT exam, you need to have a graduation degree with minimum of 50 percent marks in case of General candidates.

If you belong to SC/ST category, you are eligible for 5 percent waiver and therefore require to score minimum of 45 percent marks.

Depending on your CAT score along with the performance in graduation course,, you may get admission in a top IIM institutes of India. However you will have to give an interview and be prepared to spend Rs 9 to 15 Lakh on MBA course.


The second option in front of you is MAT exam which takes place four times a year. It is accepted widely in India by hundreds of MBA colleges and there is no minimum percentage criteria to appear in MAT exam. If passed the MAT exam you can apply for several colleges throughout the country.

if you have completed BA then surely u r applicable for MBA degree. so for pursuing MBA degree, u have to appear and pass entrance test for the admission in MBA colleges.
you have to apply for the exams like Common Admission Test(CAT) or Management Aptitude Test(MAT).
If u crack the CAT exam, u are most likely eligible student for the admission for MBA in indian Institute of Management (IIM). there are almost only 7-8 colleges of IIM in india. one the best IIM college is IIM, Ahmedabad.
so go through exams, crack them, get admission in reputed college and fulfill your dream.
