IES- INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICE the educational qualification for appearing IES exam is degree in engineering. The final year appearing B. Tech candidate can apply for IES conducted by UPSC every year for recruitment in various technical job in Govt. department such as:-

Railway Department
Central Public Works Department
Engineer-in-Chief, Army Headquarters
Directorate General Ordnance Factories
Central Water Commission
Central Electricity Authority
Wireless Planning and Coordination Wing/Monitoring Organisation
Indian Navy Indian Naval Armament Service,Assistant Naval Store Officer Grade I
Border Roads Organisation Border Roads Engineering Service.

Yes you are eligible for IES exam for this exam age limits are:

(a) A candidate for this examination must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st August, of the current year

(b) The upper age-limit of 30 years will be relaxable upto 35 years in the case of Government servants of the following categories, if they are employed in a Department/Office under the control of any of the authorities mentioned in column 1 below and apply for admission to the examination for all or any of the Service(s)/Posts mentioned in column 2, for which they are otherwise eligible.

You can appear for this UPSC [UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION], Examination.
IES stands for the INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICES.
For appear in this examination, you must have at least a engineering degree from a recognized college in these streams that I have mentioned here,---
1.CIVIL ENGINEERING
2.MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
3.ELECTRICAL & COMMUNICATION ENGINEERING
4.ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING....

FINAL YEAR STUDENTS CAN ALSO APPLY....

The age limit for this examination, is 21-30 years for the GENERAL candidates.,
21-33 years for the OBC candidates
21-35 years for the SC\ST candidates....

no. of attempts-
4 for the GENERAL candidates,,,
7 for the OBC candidates,,
No such restriction for the SC\ST candidates...

Hi!!

Yes, You are eligible for UPSC Indian Engineering Services exam..
You should have minimum of 21 years of age..

Education Qualification :

obtained a degree in Engineering from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or


You can give this exam after your B.Tech..

Yes my dear you are very much eligible for I.E.S. (Indian Engineering Services).

The eligibility criteria for IES Exam is as follows :

Age limits :

21-30 years on 1st August of the year of Examination. (Upper age limit relax

able for S.C.s/S.T.s, O.B.C.s )


Educational Qualifications :

A degree in Engineering from a recognised university or equivalent. M.Sc degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communications, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as special subjects also acceptable for certain Services/posts only.
Candidates appearing at their engineering degree or equivalent examination are also
eligible to compete. Candidates qualifying on the result of the written part of the Examination will be required to submit the proof of passing the requisite examination along with their detailed application form to be filled up at that stage.


Fee Structure :

Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only)
(No fee for SCs/STs/Physically Handicapped only).

Yes, you can apply for this exam but after that you have to submit your engg. certificate other wise you can't be selected , more details are mention in below chart.

You can appear for IES Examination for being a candidate of Final year b.tech as the eligibility criteria for the same is as under-

Dear pal,
union public service commission admits aspirants to the Indian engineering service. The eligibility required for appearing in the exam includes.
1. The aspirant should have completed bachelor degree in Engineering . Final year aspirants are also eligible to appear for the exam.
As you are in final year you are eligible to appear for the exam provided you satisfy age limit.
The aspirant should have completed 21 years of age. The maximum age for applying in the exam is 30. For bc and mbc aspirant the relaxation in the age is 3 years. Sc and st aspirants can appear upto 35 years of age.
Moreover the aspirants can apply for a limited times. General aspirant can apply upto 4 attempts. Bc and mbc aspirant can apply maximum of 7 attempts. There is no restriction for the sc and st aspirants.
The aspirants are admitted under four category namely civil engineering, mechanical engineering , electrical engineering and electronics and instrumentation engineering

IES entrance test or Indian Engineering Services entrance exam is designed for recruitment of engineers in government services.

IES Exam Eligibility Criteria:-

1) Age Limit:- 21-30 years on the first day of august of the year of examination.

2) Educational Qualifications:-

Applicable for the engineering graduates who have already completed or who are in last year. but last year students are required to produce the proof of passing engineering degree.

IES Exam Selection Procedure:-

1) Written Exam:- Consist of 5 papers of 200 marks each.

2) Personality Interview: who have qualified in written test will be called for personal interview where their personality will be judged, the personality interview will be of 200 marks.

Examination notifications are published in major newspaper and employment news in January / February

Exam is conducted in June/ July every year.

being a finel year b-tch student ..you are elligible for ias exam. IAS exam needs a bachelore degree in any streem.

Yes, you are definitely available for IES exam under UPSC because you are in the final year of B.TECH, but you should be 21 year old to take up upsc exams.

The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate.

Final year student also eligible for IES exam .

Number of attempts for IES exam is

For general student it is 4.

And for OBC it is 7 times.

And for SC/ST it is 9 time

If you are from different departments then also you are eligible but you should take one of the above departments as exam.

In order to appear for the Indian Engineering Service..a candidate must fulfill the following minimum criterion :-

1) You should be a B.Tech degree holder or a final year B.Tech student in any of the following streams :-

Maximum number of attempts for general category is 4,for OBC 7 and for SC/ST there is no limit..

the forms for the exam shall be available from 25th February,2012 and the last date for form submission is 26th March 2012

the exam shall be conducted on 15th June,2012 and will go on for 3 days..
