hello sir,
i have recently completed b.tech in EEE branch with an aggregate of 59.5%.am i eligible to this ies exam? kindly reply |

Yes you are eligible for IES exam For IES exam there is no percentage require for give this exam. For IES exam there is some branch will give this exam like:- Electrical engineering Civil Engineering Mechanical engineering Electronics Engineering all these 3 branches student are eligible to give this exam Age-21 to 30 years relaxation as per govt. rules. |

Yes, you are eligible for appearing in IES exam.
The eligibility criteria for appearing in IES exam is as follows- * You should be a citizen of India. * You must hold a degree of B. E. or B. Tech. in any branch from a recognised university. * You should be 21 to 30 years of age. There is a relaxation of 3 years in upper age limit for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST. * No. of attempts- - General - 4 - SC/ST - no limit - OBC - 7 You can give IES exam in any one of the following branches- * Mechanical * Civil * Electrical * Electronics and Communication. |

Hello friend,
To appear for Engineering Service exam, there is no standard set for the percentage of marks. So, if you hold a degree in engineering, you are eligible for the exam, provided you are within the age limit of 21-30 years. The maximum age limit is relaxed upto 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST category. The examination is conducted in the following four disciplines of engineering: Mechanical Engineering Civil Engineering Electrical Engineering Electronics and Telecommunication engineering For details regarding the exam, refer to the official website of UPSC. |

Only passing percentage is required to appear Indian Engineering Service Exam.

dear friend,
IES exam is a civil service exam which is conducted by UPSC every year.. The eligibility criteria for appearing in IES exam- Educational qualification- *one must have bachelor degree in any of these following engineering branch- 1.Electronics 2.Electrical 3. Mechanical 4.Civil.. There is no such percentage marks require to appear in IES exam.. Age criteria- *For general- Max.-30years, Min-21years. For Sc/ST the age relaxation is 5years For OBC the age relaxation is 3years.. As you have mentioned that you are from EEE branch then you can appear in this exam, but you have to give the exam on the syllabus of Electronics or Electrical.. Now you decide in which field you have more clear concept.. and give the exam on the syllabus of that field.. All the best.. |

eligibility for ies:-
**Indian engineering service **educational qualification is graduation in engineering with four branches only.the branches are 1.electrical 2.electronics 3.mechanical 4.civil **age limit is 21 to 30 years **there is no percentage in graduation **they need only pass marks **union public service commission conducts exams in every year prepare well all the best |

civil engineering mechanical engineering electrical engineering electronics engineering AGE LIMIT : 21 to 30years for general candidates 21 to 33years for obc candidates 21 to 35years for sc/st candidates common entrance exam for upsc there is no min marks for qualifying only pass |

Yes, you are eligible to apply for IES as per your qualification. There is no requirement of any percentage of marks for application for IES.
IES-INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICE conducted by UPSC every year for recriutment in the top Technical post in Dept. under Central Govt. in the following branches:- MECHANICAL ELECTRICAL CIVIL ELECTRONIC AND TELECOMMUNICATION The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having completed Graduation in Engineering in any discipline from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years is eligible to apply for IES. The selection is through written exam on the basis of the subject in Mechanical/Civil/Electrical/Electronic & Telecommunication branch followed by personal Interview. IES exam is conducted by the IES every year.
Eligibility criteria of IES:- Students with four year B.Tech degree can apply for this exam. Students with M.Sc degree in areas like electronics, radio physics, radio engineering or wireless communication can also apply. At the most you can give the exam for four times. Selection procedure includes written test and personality test. Written test pattern:- Paper I-(objective type) Part A: general english Part B: general studies Part II & III- (objective type) civil engineering/ mechanical engineering/ electrical engineering/ electronics and telecommunication engineering. Part IV & V: (descriptive type) civil engineering/ mechanical engineering/ electrical engineering/ electronics and telecommunication engineering. Total marks for written exam is 1000 marks.
