Re: Am I eligible for IES entrance exam?
Dear Friend
Why are you upset? Who has said that Information technology students are not eligible for the Indian engineering services ? It is totally wrong, candidates of any branch are eligible to apply for the IES examinations held by the UPSC. You are eligible to apply for the IES examinations. But there is limitations that for your conventional papers in IES examinations ,you have to select the subjects from the core branches of engineering: 1.Mechanical engineering 2.Electrical engineering 3.Electronics and communication engineering 4.Civil engineering The minimum age limit is 21 years and the upper age limit for general students is 30 yearsand 3 years relaxation to obc and five year to sc/st respectively. The no of attempts for the general is 4,obc is 7 and sc/st can give any no of times within their age limit. Examination pattern: For any other details ,regarding this exam ,please visit www.upsc.gov.in Hope the information helps you. all the best aashisranjan784 |
