Am I eligible to join Indian Air Force through NDA-II with rod attached in left hand?
Dear Sir/Madam, I am going to give my first NDA-II in this year. I am having a little bit concern about the medical standards. I have a rod in my left hand. So, am I eligible to join Indian Air Force through my NDA-II?

No, you are not eligible for selection in Indian Air Force.
In defence service only physical fit candidates are eligible for final recruitment even after qualifying in the entrance examination. So, you are not eligible for the defence service as you are not physically fit. |

For NDA recruitment the most requisite qualification is that candidate must be physically fit.
So, if you have any type of disability you are not eligible for selection in the service in future also. |

NDA is conducted twice in a year by UPSC.
The eligibility to appear in examination is that candidate must have passed 12th from a recognised board. Candidates in 12th are eligible to appear in examination. Age limit is 16.5-19.5 years. Candidate must be physically fit and unmarried. As you are not physically fit you are not eligible for the service. |
