i have done bca but i'm interested in English and wanna do MA English. is it possible to get direct admission in MA English without any problem as some of my friends told that u will have to take BA English literature exams then u will be able to do MA. i'm worried about it. plz tell me what will i have to do to get admission in MA English. i want to do MA from pbi university. can i? or is it necessary to do BA ENGLISH IN literature ? plz tell me so that i can continue mt study Thank you ji.... my [email protected] ......will be waiting for answer patiently

Yes a BCA graduate can pursue M.A English. At least 55% in the BA Honors (English) from a recognized university or at least 60% in the aggregate of a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized Indian University. comprehension and writing skills) and their knowledge of English literature and other literature.

After completion of graduation or BCA you are eligible to do post graduation for MA in English. The minimum eligibility required for admission in MA English is graduation with minimum 55% marks. So if you score 55% marks in your BCA then you can apply for the EMI in English. Some of the universities are demanding BA with 55% marks to get admission in MA English and some universities are saying that any graduate candidate can apply for admission in MA English.
You can do MA English post graduation course from any government college private college or any University campus.

The eligibility criteria for MA in English programme is similar to other MA programmes. The basic eligibility criteria which the candidates must fulfil are:
