No, you are not eligible for UGC NET exam.

NET stands for National Eligibility Test. This exam is conducted by UGC.

The educational qualification required for NET exam is masters degree from a recognized university with above 55% marks. 5% relaxation is given for SC/ST category candidates. Final year student are also eligible for NET exam.

There is no age criteria for NET exam but for JRF posts, your age should be below 28 years.

NET - National Eligibility Test.

This exam is conducted by UGC (University Grants Commission) and is held every year. The eligibility needed for NET exam are:

# Candidate should have a citizenship in India as per the nationality standard.

# Age limit needed for Junior Research Fellowship program is candidate should not have more than 28 years as on 01.06.2015.

# A relaxation of 5 years for candidates who belong to categories like OBC/SC/ST/PWD is allowed.

# Regarding the educational qualification, the candidate need to have completed a Post graduation degree from a recognized by UGC with at least 55% aggregate.

# There are relaxation for other category candidates such as for SC/ST/OBC/PWD, as they only need to have got 50% in order to be eligible.
