List of Disaster Management Entrance Exams
Emergency Management is concerned with risks and it helps to avoid and be prepared for unforeseen disasters. It includes emergency evacuation of the site, quarantine etc in addition to the maintaining and rebuilding of the society following the events of natural or man- made disasters. Courses in Disaster management are offered at the certificate, undergraduate, postgraduate levels. Degree and diploma courses are available too. The basic qualification required for a candidate to pursue the certificate and UG programs in disaster management is a pass in 10+2. Those candidates who wish to go for the PG programs must be graduates of any discipline from any accepted University or Institution.
List of Entrance Exams
NIDM Entrance Exam – Candidates who are applying for this exam must have completed their Post graduation in any stream.
TISS Entrance Exam – The applicants must have completed their class 10+2. They should have scored atleast 50 percent marks. SC/ST Candidates must secure 40% marks.
IGNOU Entrance Exam – The candidates should have finished their graduation in a related subject.
Courses
Postgraduate Diploma program in Disaster Management: Candidates applying for this exam must be graduates. They must be at least 21 years at the time of applying. It is essential for the applicants to possess good skills in Communicative English in addition to computer proficiency.
MA/M.Sc in Disaster Management: Candidates who are applying for this course must have finished their graduation with a minimum of 50% marks from an acknowledged University. (40% marks for the candidates of the SC/ST category). Final year candidates are also eligible to apply.
Career prospects
Candidates who have completed their course in disaster management can find employment in areas like emergency services, law enforcement etc in addition to jobs in agencies like the local authorities and non-governmental institutes. International agencies like the UNO also hire disaster management professionals. Moreover, the candidates can also offer their service as rehabilitation workers, medical health specialists, social workers and environmental experts. The salary package of the candidates will differ according to their experience and qualification. The basic salary of a disaster management fresher is approximately Rs. 8,000 - Rs10, 000 for each month. Those candidates who have an experience of 2 or 3 years will earn up to Rs. 15,000 -20,000 apiece a month. Candidates who are well experienced can earn as much as Rs. 1, 50,000 every month.

Sir, I have completed my intermediate exams previous year with 65% marks. Now i am studying geography from patna university. Sir, I want to know about the carier & employment or exams for us with these education qualification.
