Being a graduate, in any discipline, you may join then police department.
To join the police department, all you will need is to qualify entrance examination conducted on state as well as national level.
The entrance exam conducted by state police, for graduates, is to recruit Assistant Sub-Inspector/Sub-Inspector. The eligible age to apply for this exam is between 20-25 years.

Civil Service exam is conducted on national level by union public service commission for recruitment of ACP/ASP in the Indian Police Service. The eligible age for this exam is between 21-30 years.

Since you are a graduate and if you are within the age limit mentioned above, you can definitely appear for these examination to join the Police Department.
