That is not true....

Anyone who has completed his or her graduation in any field from any university is eligible for MBA.

That is the only criteria for applying for MBA.

CAT(Common Admission Test) is the most toughest entrance exam in India by IIMs for MBA.

The total fee for institutes like IIM is around 15 lacs.

The other MBA entrance exam are:

MAt, XAT, JMET, SNAP, ATMA, MAH-CET etc....

MBA has many options which you can take as your specialization like...

MBA in Finance

MBA in Health (Pharmaceuticals)

MBA in Consultancy

MBA in Information Technology

MBA in Telecommunications

MBA in Media

MBA in Services

MBA in Human Resources.

Hello Shruti,
If you hold a bachelors degree of a recognized university, no matter it's regular or distance, you are eligible to write CAT as well as take admission in MBA.
However, in case of MBA, the eligibility criteria may vary as per the institutes but your degree acquired through distance learning will be considered equivalent to the regular graduation.

To be eligible for CAT, conducted by the IIM, you must have scored a minimum of 50% in your graduation. For candidates belonging to SC/ST category, the required percentage of marks is 45%.

No, for CAT or taking admission in MBA , the eligibity of under graduation degree course is needed but it is not must that you have to compleate your graduation from regular course.

So ,as you have completed your Graduation in any discipline, now you are eligible for MBA Course and CAT/MAT/XAT/GMAT entrance examinations.

But for MAT examination, you have to complete only your graduation in any discipline and there is no minimum Percentage eligibility Criteria.
You can apply for MAT Examination 4 Times in a year.
Eligible candidates may apply for MAT Examination Online By visit the" AIMA Official website".

But for CAT examination you may apply only 1 Time in a Year.
The CAT examination is held in November/December and the notification is published in the month of August.
And if you are qualified in CAT examination then you will get admission in top Business schools.

Best of luck.

There is no such condition which seperate private candidates from regular ones. All you need is to score well enough as per cutoff so that you can secure a seat in any good management college.

Regular and Correspondance programmes are consider as same and both are having equal weightage. No priority is given to regular candidate over private candidates, even if the university is renowed university.
