The Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business Management or the IISWBM, as it is better known, is a premier institute of our country which offers a postgraduate degree in management. The Institute is located in Kolkata and its name is taken with respect among the business schools of eastern India.

To get admission to the MBA degree program of IISWBM, the candidate should have an Honors degree in any stream and a graduation in a professional course from a recognized university.

The election process of the IISWBM is a three stage process. The first stage is a screening test, the second stage is a Group Discussion and the third stage is a Personal Interview.

IISWBM uses the Common Aptitude Test as its screening. Candidates have to also fill the application form of the Institute along with appearing for CAT. Candidates are shortlisted based on the score of CAT. The shortlisted candidates are called for a GD and those who clear the GD have to appear for a face-to-face interview. Based on the overall performance a candidate is given admission. The past academic performance of the candidate, the extra curricular activities, etc form an important part of the selection process.
