AIT stands for Assam Institute of Technology.

AIT is not affliated by AICTE(All India Council for Technical Education).

It is affiliated/recognized by Govt. of India and its syllabus is approved by AICTE.

AIT Group of Institutions introduced the courses of civil engineering and mechanical engineering degree/diploma under the Institution of Civil Engineers(India) and the Institutions of Mechanical Engineers(India) respectively.
