Is B.Ed qualification necessary to become a Teacher of class 11 and 12 in government schools?

I have done M.Sc (hons.) in Mathematics and want to teach students of class 11 and 12 in in government schools. So, I wanted to know whether doing B.Ed is compulsory to become teacher of class 11 and 12 in government schools or not?

Yes, it is mandatory to have a bachelor degree in Education to appear for Post Graduate Teacher recruitment.

The required minimum qualification for appearing in entrance examination for recruitment as PGT is that candidate must have passed B.Ed from a recognised university and must have Master degree from recognised university.

So, you have to pursue the course to appear for examination and qualify in it for the final selection in government schools.

Yes,You should have B.Ed degree to become a post graduate teacher in Government schools..To become Post graduate teacher you should apply for PGT exam..The minimum qualification is post graduation in any discipline..You need to score atleast 50%marks in PG level from reputed university or college..You also need to have B.Ed degree in the same subject area..
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
