Dear Friend,

* Pursuing arts and sciences would really help you in cracking your civil service examinations.

* You would choose history or geography as you specialization and do any of the related courses in correspondence to get core knowledge of the subject. This would really help you in cracking the examination.

Best wishes :-)

Degree holders in any subject can look for civil services. In order to crack civil services, aspirant should have knowledge in diverse subject areas mentioned in the syllabus. Selecting arts as the subject in 12th may help you to qualify IAS to a certain extent. Subjects like History or Geography should be selected in graduation. For this, you can go with streams of History or Economics in 12th.

Dear Aspirant,

Not only you many students like you who are aiming for the civil exams are going for the art group.

Because it is the easy group when compared to the mpc group.

So no doubt there will be equal chance of getting in to the civil examination selections even if you are a arts group.

But at the time of writing the civil exam. You should be either a final year student in the Degree or Engineering.

Else you need to have a degree certificate with you.Because the qualification is degree for that exam.

So first complete the intermediate and then go for any degree which suits you.

Hope this info helps you.

All the best for your future endeavor's
.

hello

yes friend

if there is a will you can make way..every field has it importance..if you choose medicine you can go in bio feild,if you opt mpc you can go for engineering.if you opt for arts and comerce you can go for politics or fashion technology

even you can opt for NDA exam after hsc/intermediate and can join in defense field or

if you are willing to continue your studies till graduation then after that also you can give CDS (COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE),IES.CIVIL SERVICE.GROUPS,IFS,CMS, etc to get post in government sector.

remember if the subject exist then it will have the value and its functions..we can not judge it..the way of thoughts vary from one person to another..for example,i like biology then i would say science field is good,i do not like maths than i would say maths field do not have nay future..it depends on one's opinion

Hello,
You should chose the stream as per your interest,as you will find your subjects more easy and interesting which will make you score good in your examination and thus providing a path for better future for you. Moreover if one goes by the interests than there is always a excitement to go deeper in the subjects which helps you to gain more knowledge.

In one way the Arts stream proves to be beneficial for the Civil services examination as there will be portions from History,Geography and it is also asked in the CSAT.

But it is not always necesssary that taking Arts will only help you, infact there are other options as well, as per your interests like Mathematics or even Engineering.

In the Civil services preliminary stage there will be questions based on the Quantative Aptitude, reasoning, general knowledge which are common topics.

In the mains exmaination there are optional subjects which can be chosen as per your choice and here is your 12th and graduation subjects that will help you, as you can chose it accordingly.

But going for the Civil services is still a far way, first of all you will have to pass your 12th and then your graduation to be eligible for it.And do remember that it will be better if you chose the stream in graduation, that you had in your 12th.

If you had made your the Civil services as your goal then it is very good. Therefore whatever stream you chose, work hard and get in depth of your subjects keeping in mind your goal.It will help you a lot at the later stages.

Good Luck.

Hi

Arts is a subject of creativity and does not contain much value in terms of technical knowledge. If you are interested in law, arts, history, or in learning subjects like English or Hindi, Arts would be best for you.

But in case, you wish to pursue something related to technical like B.Tech, MBBS, Architecture, or anything related to other such streams, then Arts wont solve your purpose.

Thus after 10th it is a very crucial decision that you would have to select a good stream and that would act as a base to your career ahead in life. So be wise and select the one that you actually want to do.

Regards
Ranjeet
