plz tell me the best books for history and geography for ias main examination.

You can refer the following books as under-

History- NCERT books of class XI and XII, Freedom Struggle (published by National Book Trust)

Geography- Class XII books of Geography (NCERT), a good atlas.

"Upkar Prakashan" and "Pratyogita Darpan" are the best books for preparation of Civil Service examinations as they cover almost each subject.

You can also download the Free Social science books for the IAS exam from the website as under-
