As you know that iit-jee entrance exam is the way to get admissions in iits.
you are studying in class 11th
some necessary points are given below for your preparation
1) IIT-jee is always difficult for everyone so you will have to mould yourself just with the difficulty level. When you will have more practice for difficult concepts and questions ,you will get confidence for any entrance exams.
2)make your time table and follow it strictly . you must study for >10 hours per day.
3)if you joined any coaching then you should always clear your doubts with your tutor.
4)learn every formula and its concept as you will not have enough time in the paper to do extra experiments.

books for preparation of iit-jee are available in markets.I will suggest you to buy the books of M.L.khanna,verma rajesh but i think you should choice yourself.
one more thing i would like to say that hard work never goes waste,so keep working hard and all the very best

IIT -JEE is among the toughest examination of India as every year about 10 lac students seat for the examination to make their dream of studying in IITto make true but only 10thousands students become able to make it.As there is only one test for admission in both IIT as well as in NIT the change in syllabus created more confusion among the students.

But Iwill say you that instead of going through many books please concentrate on one books of each subject and for practice youcan solve previous year question paper and and question from some of the coaching.

So work hard to crack it as making lot of lots of books will instead of helping you take a downfall in your ranking.
