GATE Exam Eligibility Criteria:-

## GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. This exam is conducted by the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology .

## If you want to pursue post graduation in engineering then this is the course for you. This is one of the toughest exam to crack just like IIT but getting good score means getting a reputed college for higher study as well.

## The exam generally takes place in the month of February and the result usually comes out in the month of March.

## If you wish to give GATE exam you need to complete your graduation in engineering or technology and the duration of the course should not be less than four years.

(OR)

## After completing your post graduation in computer application/statistics/mathematics/science also you can sit for this exam.

(OR)

## If you are in the third year or final year of a four-year integrated programmes or in the fourth or final year of a five-year integrated programme then also you can give this exam.

## Usually objective type questions will come for this exam. 65 questions will be asked of 100 marks and there is negative marking too. 1/3rd marks will get deducted for each wrong answer you give.

## The validity of the GATE score is not more than two years.
