Making the candidate practice is the best way. To begin with you can explain importance of grammar and sentence construction. Make the candidate read a lot aloud. You can correct as an when the mistakes occur. Also you and the candidate must communicate only in the language you are teaching. Make sure that the candidate understands it.

Be slow to listen,and be bold to speak.No particular way is there.Just do practice more.it is the only way.
