I have completed my B.Com but not in Honours. I did from General category. So, now am I eligible to apply for B.Ed degree course in Calcutta under Calcutta University?

B.Ed stands for bachelor of education it is a teacher training degree course of 2 years for which the minimum education required age a bachelor degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks from a recognised university.

So, having completed your bachelor's degree( i.e; B.Com general degree ) course you are eligible to pursue B.Ed degree course if you have managed to secure at least 50% marks as their is no compulsion of honours degree.

You are eligible to get admission in B.Ed course.

B.Ed is Bachelor in Education and is two year course. Candidate passed degree in any discipline with minimum 50% are eligible to appear in examination to get admission in B.Ed course.

So, you are eligible to appear in examination to get admission in B.Ed course.
