No, You are Not eligible to apply for NDA Examination, NDA Stands for National Defense Academy and this examination was conducted by UPSC Every year and to apply for this examination candidates Must have completed his 12Th examination.

Dear friend,

Sorry to say that you are not eligible for NDA exam .because you are now completed 10 th standard.

The minimum educational qualification for NDA exam is 10+2 passed with any stream.

And your age must be in between 16.5 to 19 years.

So after completion of your 12 th standard you are applicable for NDA exam.

As getting whatever percentage in 10th class will not matters you to get you appear in NDA Exam but the percentage of class 12th will definitely matters a lot.So the minimum eligibility for NDA exam is as under-

1. You must be passed your 12th class from a recognized board.
2. Your age should be between 16.5 to 19 years.

For Army wings You must be a 12th passed from any stream but for the Air Force & Naval wings You need to complete your 12th from science with Physics and Maths as a compulsory Subject.

to give NDA exam your age Should be between 16 years to 19 years. to give NDA exam, percentage are not necessary.

NDA is conducted by UPSC twice in a year. Basically NDA is only for 12th passed candidate and you have just passed 10th class.
Eligibility criteria of NDA are as follows :-

After completing 10th you will not be eligible for NDA.

You have to complete your 12th exam first....

1. For Army Wing of NDA:-

Candidate must be 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

2. For Air Force and Naval Wings of NDA and for 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course at Naval Academy:-

Candidates appearing for National Defence Academy Examination must be 12th Class pass i.e. the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

The candidate should be between 16-1/2 to 19 years of age.

You can appear for NDA only if you are a Higher Secondary Pass. So wait for 2 years complete your Higher secondary / Senior secondary and the take preparation. Good wishes in advance for your NDA.

you should first pass the higher secondary

then apply for the nda exam at the age between 16.5 and 19 years

NDA - NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for entry n to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental health.

NDA : Means National Defence Services Exam and this exam is conducted by the upsc department every year and not only single time they are conducting the exam twice in a year.The Exam is quite popular among the science students specially.

And from your point only just on the basis of 10th class you can't apply for it as for the exam the minimum educational qualification required is 12th class so first you need to complete your 12th class and after that you can apply for the exam.

Qualifications Required for the NDA Exam :

-The Student must be pass in the Intermediate

-The Student must have physics and maths subjects in Intermediate

Age :

-The Student age must be between 16.5 years to 19 years

Other Criteria :

-Only Boys can apply for the NDA Exam

After completion of 10th you can not apply for NDA because my friend to become an eligible for NDA you have to complete your 12th with more than 50% marks.The minimum requirement for NDA is 12th with any field under some recognized university or board.




As there are four streams in 12th class and you can choose any one from them according to your interest and after completion of 12th you become an eligible for NDA.The streams in 12th class are:

1.Arts
2.Commerce
3.Non-Medical
4.Medical

Choose any one but choose appropriately and wisely so that you become a perfect in your future.Through NDA you can go for any of the civil services.As there are three types of civil services that are comes under NDA and those civil services are as follows:

1.Indian Navy
2.Indian Military
3.Indian Air Force



But you must be eligible for it.So check the eligibility criteria for it:

1.You must be an Indian.
2.Your age should lies between 16.5 to 19 years.
3.Your eye sight should be correct i.e.6/6.
4.You must be physically fit.
5.Girls are not eligible for it.
