I have passd M.A 2010-11 as M.L Arabic and secured above 60 percent. Can I appear for netset exam. what is the exam date in this year and what are the fees detail

What is the eligibility criteria of net exam for the student of arts group?

Firstly I would like to point out that NET and SET are two different exams. NET stands for National Eligibility Test, this exam is conducted by University Grants Commission for the central government colleges.

SET stands for State Eligibility Test. Each state is responsible for conducting this exam for its own funded colleges. The criteria for both exams remains the same.

NET is conducted twice while SET depends on the states. While NET is conducted in June and December, the SET completely depends on the state. For example Gujarat conducts it once in October while Maharashtra conducts it twice.


Eligibility

1. Degree: Any post graduation degree is accepted.

2. Marks: 55 percent or more are required.

3. Marks (Sc/ST): 50 percent in PG course.

4. Subject: Your subject for NET will be Arabic.

5. Attempts: There is no limit.

6. Age Limit: 28 years for Junior Research Fellowship.

7. Age Limit: No upper age limit for lectureship

Friday; May 03, 2013 is the last date to apply for NET entrance exam.

Yes.. This year NET exams are on 5 November for which you can apply now. For general students forms are of 1000 rs. N for OBC its 500 n for SC/ST /PJ its 250 rs.

Definitely you are eligible for NET ( National eligibility test) and SET ( state eligibility test).
Minimum 55% required in master's degree with recognized University.
These exam conducted by UGC twice a year.
