Yes, you can apply for the Chartered Accountancy course after Under Graduation. There is no rigid percentage criterion to apply for the CA course. Only the matter of fact is that the CA course is one of toughest accountancy course. So it will require more concentration and efforts to pursue this course.

To pursue a CA course, here are 3 stages that a student has to undergo through.

Stage 1: Common Proficiency Test (CPT)
This is the entrance exam for Chartered Accountancy Course. It is an objective exam which is held 4 times a year. However Graduates are free from from CPT and can directly register for IPCC.

CPT – One Paper, Two Sessions (200 Marks)

Session I:
Section A: Fundamentals of Accounting (60 Marks)
Section B: Mercantile Laws (40 Marks)

Session II:
Section C: General Economics (50 Marks)
Section D: Quantitative Aptitude (50 Marks)

Stage 2: Integrated Professional Competence Course
IPCC - Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence) Course
This is the first descriptive exam in CA Course. There are Seven Papers in

Intermediate (IPC) Course which are divided into 2 groups

Group I:
Paper 1: Accounting (100 marks)
Paper 2: Business Laws, Ethics and Communication (100 marks)
Paper 3: Cost Accounting and Financial Management (100 marks)
Paper 4: Taxation (100 marks)

Group II:
Paper 5: Advanced Accounting (100 marks)
Paper 6: Auditing and Assurance (100 marks)
Paper 7: Information Technology and Strategic Management(100 marks)

Stage 3: FINAL
Last and final level of CA course is the Final exam. Final stage has also divided into 2 groups consisting of 8 subject altogether.

Group I:
Paper 1: Financial Reporting (100 Marks)
Paper 2: Strategic Financial Management (100 Marks)
Paper 3: Advanced Auditing and Professional Ethics (100 Marks)
Paper 4: Corporate and Allied Laws (100 Marks)

Group II:
Paper 5: Advanced Management Accounting (100 Marks)
Paper 6: Information Systems Control and Audit (100 Marks)
Paper 7: Direct Tax Laws (100 Marks)
Paper 8: Indirect Tax Laws (100 Marks).
