Can I apply for CPT exam with 56%? Details about CPT exam?
sir namaste i got 56./. Percent can i apply for cpt exam . Please tell me all details for cpt exam. I am from village no one gide me for my feture i hope to you. Please give me your personal suggestion as your child.

Dear Friend
If you are a graduate then you can directly apply for 2nd level exam i.e. PCC Professional Competency Course provided that you are a; Commerce Graduate and have 50% in graduation or, Non-Commerce graduate with Mathematics and have scored 60% in graduation or, Non-Commerce graduate with subjects other than Mathematics and have scored 55% in graduation. If you are a graduate and you don't fulfill the above criteria then you will have to start from the first level exam i.e. Competency Professional Test(CPT) after than you can register for PCC. |

yes you may apply for CPT examination. you may do your online registration from the website http://cptonline.icai.org/ more details about the examination are given in the website. it does not matter that you are in village. just be serious about yourself surely you will get best guide. this forum also give you opportunity to post your question so that various members can help you. just connect through internet always.

Eligibility requirements to appear in Common Proficiency Test june 2011
(a) A candidiate shall be eligible to appear in common proficiency test june 2011 to be held on 19th june 2011,if he has: i) Either passed the senior secondary examination (10+2 )examination or its equivalent or must have appeared in the senior secondary examination from arecognized institution ii)registered for CPT course with board of studies of ICAI on or before 1st april 2011 AND thus yes if you have marks more than 50% then you can apply for CPT exam. |

yes you can appear for CPT and go on to become a CA,
minimum score required is 50% in graduation or for non commerce students with maths with 55% Also the course is a really well designed one and ICAI provides you with sufficient study material on enrolment, however it is considered tough, and you should study with full concentration and take mock papers. |

The students must have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent, from any recognized Board.
dear i am a friend and will suggest you agar apko C.A karni hai to bhot hardwork karna padega CPT me first attempt me clear karo to ap 2nd level exam ipcc ke liye prepare karoge..... agar ap pehle graduation karte ho to ap directly 2nd level exam de skte ho during ipcc you will be sent on training jise audit kehte hai..... apko kisi C.A ke under kaam krna hoga phir ipcc clear krne ke one and half years ke baad apka final exam hoga...... all the best and khoob hardwork kariye |

Yes you are Eligible for CA-CPT Exams.
CA-CPT i.e Chartered Account Common Proficiency Test. Eligibility Criteria : The candidate should have completed their 12th Examination Or Equivalent from any Recognized Board. The candidate who have Passed B.com,M.com,LLB,ICWA,CS Or M.B.A are also Eligible to Apply. Those in the final year of a degree course may also Eligible to Apply. The candidate should have a minimum 50% Marks In Graduation. |

Common Profieciency Test [CPT] does not demand for any minimum pass percentage and hence you can surely apply for the test.
Chartered Accountancy course is divided into 3 stages : CPT IPCC FINAL In order to become CA you need to pass every exam in minimum time. Though the syllabus is huge and takes a minimum of 4 years, you may even complete in 3years. The minimum time you take the greater is the advantage for you. Yes you are eligible for CPT exam the basic criteria is as follows:-
Eligibility criteria for appearing in CPT i.e Common Proficiency Test:- 1.The students must have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent, from any recognized Board with at least 55% marks. 2.Candidates, who have passed B.Com, M.Com, LLB, ICWA, CS or MBA at the first attempt, are also eligible to apply. 3.The candidates, who have appeared or appearing in final year of the qualifying examination, are also eligible to apply. Requirement for Passing the Common Proficiency Test:- A candidate shall ordinarily be declared to have passed the Common Proficiency Test if he obtains at one sitting a minimum of 50 percent marks in the aggregate of all the four subjects / sections comprised in CPT (Examination), subject to the principle of negative marking. Examination Pattern:- The institute conducts Common Proficiency Test ( CPT Exam) in two modes: Paper Pencil Mode of Examination and Online Registration Mode of Examination. The general examination pattern of CPT Exam is given in the following lines:- 1.Paper Pencil Mode of Examination is conducted in morning session and evening session with each carrying two parts. 2.For Online Registration Mode of Examination, the students have to fill an examination form Online and then, this examination is held at various centers across India. 3.The entrance test consists of objective type questions. 4.The medium of all the questions and instructions is English. 5.The question paper follows negative marking scheme, which means one fourth mark is deducted for every wrong answer. Syllabus:- The syllabus for Common Proficiency Test ( CPT) comprises of basic knowledge in fundamental of Accounting, mercantile law, general economics and quantitative aptitude. Eligibility for CA CPT June Exam 2012 Eligibility requirements to appear in CA CPT June 2012. A candidate shall be eligible to appear in Common Proficiency Test CPT June 2012 to be held on 17th June, 2012 if he has : Either passed the Senior Secondary Examination ( 10+2 examination ) or its equivalent or must have appeared in the Senior Secondary Examination ( 10+2 examination ) or its equivalent of a recognized Institution, and Registered for CPT Course with Board of Studies of ICAI on or before 1st April 2012. A candidate who is already registered for Professional Education I Course with Board of Studies of ICAI and switched over to CPT course on or before 1st April 2012 will also be eligible to appear in December CPT 2012. Requirement for Passing the Common Proficiency Test A candidate shall ordinarily be declared to have passed the Common Proficiency Test if he obtains at one sitting a minimum of 50 percent marks in the aggregate of all the four subjects / sections comprised in CPT ( Examination ), subject to the principle of negative marking. It is clarified that there is no requirement of securing minimum passing marks in a subject / section of CPT examination. There will be negative marking for each wrong answer. 1/4 ( One Fourth ) mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Please note that multiple darkened circles for a question will also be treated as wrong answer. Any fraction of mark in aggregate will be rounded off to the next full mark. It is clarified that there is no provision for improvement of result CPT examination in the Chartered Accountants Regulations, 1988. CPT exam stands for Common proficiency Test , This exam is conducted for CA Foundation , In CA there are three levels that is CPt , IPCC , Final .. CA course structure..
